Product design today requires not only precision but also speed, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to continuous changes throughout the product development process. With Designcenter 2606, Siemens continues to introduce a wide range of enhancements that enable design engineers to work more efficiently, reduce model editing time, and improve collaboration throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
The latest release focuses on enhancing Sketch, Synchronous Modeling, and Advanced Shape Design, while also improving performance when working with complex models, delivering a faster and smarter design experience.
Smarter Sketch – Greater Control Throughout the Design Process
Sketch serves as the foundation of every 3D model. In Designcenter 2606, Siemens has significantly enhanced constraint management, allowing users to gain better control over their sketches.
Persistent Relations are now automatically created and maintained throughout sketching, dragging, editing, and snapping operations, resulting in more stable models and minimizing unintended design changes. Users can also easily search, display, and manage all sketch constraints directly within the Sketch environment.
In addition, sketch editing has become more stable as the system prioritizes existing constraints instead of automatically generating new relationships, making model updates faster and more predictable.
More Powerful Pattern Feature for Complex Designs
The Pattern Feature continues to expand its capabilities by supporting additional dependent features and editing features.
In addition to the features supported in previous releases, Designcenter 2606 now extends Pattern functionality to Algorithmic Feature, Bounding Body, Trim Curve, Offset Region, and Delete Face.

Pattern Feature now supports additional feature types, enabling faster creation of repetitive geometry and simplifying complex designs.
This enhancement is especially beneficial for models with multiple design variants or assemblies where each patterned instance requires unique modifications.
Synchronous Modeling – Simplifying Models More Efficiently
For CAE teams and engineers who need to simplify models before simulation, Designcenter 2606 introduces several improvements to the Delete Face command.
Users can now delete faces across multiple bodies in a single operation. Even if some faces cannot be processed, the command still completes successfully for all valid faces while clearly reporting the faces that could not be processed.
These enhancements significantly reduce the time required to simplify models imported from various CAD systems.
Sew & Combine – Faster Processing for Hundreds of Surfaces
For large surface models, Designcenter 2606 significantly improves the performance of the Sew and Combine commands.

Sew & Combine accelerate the selection and stitching of hundreds of sheet bodies with intelligent selection rules.
The new geometry recognition algorithm enables rapid selection of adjacent or tangent surfaces, allowing engineers to process hundreds of surfaces efficiently while maintaining high accuracy.
Simplify Curve – Smarter Curve Conversion
Complex spline curves can now be converted into a series of arcs and straight-line segments with high accuracy.
Users can define tolerance values directly within the dialog box, while the enhanced algorithm delivers greater stability and improved processing performance.
This enhancement is particularly valuable for CNC machining workflows and CAD data exchange with other engineering systems.
More Accurate Swept Surfaces with Continuity Constraints
One of the key enhancements in Designcenter 2606 is the ability to define Continuity Constraints directly within the Swept command.

Swept now supports Continuity Constraints, enabling smoother and more accurate transition surfaces.
Users can precisely control surface continuity at both the start and end of the swept surface, making it easier to create high-quality surfaces for products with demanding aesthetic requirements, such as automotive components, consumer electronics, and medical devices.
Designcenter 2606 continues to reinforce Siemens’ vision of delivering a smarter, more efficient, and modern product design platform. Enhancements to Sketch, Pattern Feature, Synchronous Modeling, and Advanced Shape Design not only accelerate the design process but also improve model quality, reduce editing time, and provide stronger support for downstream simulation, manufacturing, and product development workflows.
