On October 1, 2026, the SemiExpo Vietnam 2026 Launch Event took place in Hanoi, bringing together leaders from the Southeast Asia Semiconductor Association (Semi SEA), the National Innovation Center (NIC), and domestic and international companies operating in the semiconductor industry.

As Siemens EDA’s Authorized Partner in Vietnam, VBTECH was invited to represent Siemens EDA at the event. During the program, Ms. Dam Thi Hong Lan, Director of VBTECH, shared the four-year journey of collaboration with Siemens EDA, NIC, and Semi SEA in supporting the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor ecosystem.

Over the past four years, Siemens EDA and VBTECH have actively contributed to the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor ecosystem, particularly in semiconductor workforce training and IC design capability development.

In line with the Memorandum of Understanding signed with NIC and Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) in early 2024, Siemens EDA and VBTECH have sponsored thousands of licenses for advanced EDA tools for NIC, SHTP, and 20 leading universities in Vietnam.

The Train-the-Trainers program has also been implemented to strengthen lecturers’ capabilities in using and teaching EDA tools. These initiatives contribute to developing a highly skilled workforce to meet the growing needs of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry.

2026 also marks the fourth consecutive year that Siemens EDA has participated in SEMI activities in Vietnam, following its involvement in Vietnam Semi 2023. At SemiExpo 2026, Siemens EDA – VBTECH will showcase technologies supporting the entire chip development process, from design and verification to packaging and manufacturing, with platforms such as Calibre, Tessent, Tanner, and DFT.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore solutions powered by Agentic AI and AI-Native EDA, including Calibre Vision AI and FUSE AI. These technologies help engineers analyze data more efficiently, automate tasks, and optimize design workflows.

This year’s SemiExpo Vietnam aims to further strengthen meaningful connections across the semiconductor industry.

SemiExpo Vietnam 2026 is expected to expand in scale and include the energy sector, alongside the Talent Zoom session for students and the Supplier Program, which aims to strengthen connections between Vietnamese companies and the global semiconductor value chain.
