With a strong commitment to delivering the best services and the most optimal solutions to our customers, VBTECH continuously invests in training and keeps up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
From August 3-7, 2026, the VBTECH team had the opportunity to participate in the SEA Simulation Summit 2026 in Bangkok, a dedicated simulation technology training program organized by Siemens for key partners in the simulation ecosystem across Southeast Asia.
The event provided valuable insights into the latest developments in simulation technology, engineering workflows, and the future direction of simulation-driven product development.

A Comprehensive Simulation Ecosystem from Siemens and Altair
At the summit, Siemens presented a comprehensive simulation ecosystem, further expanded through the integration of Altair’s simulation technologies.
The combined portfolio now addresses a broad range of engineering and simulation requirements across industries, including aerospace, automotive and transportation, energy, industrial machinery, robotics, and many others.
The expanded portfolio covers the entire engineering simulation workflow—from structural analysis and computational fluid dynamics to electromagnetics, system simulation, optimization, HPC, physical testing, and AI-powered engineering.
One of the most impressive developments is the increasing application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in simulation, enabling engineers to accelerate computation, predict product performance, explore more design alternatives, and optimize products more efficiently.
In parallel, cloud-based simulation and High-Performance Computing (HPC) are becoming increasingly important. These services provide customers with access to powerful computational resources without requiring significant upfront investment in on-premise infrastructure. This approach is particularly valuable for large-scale simulation workloads, while also providing greater flexibility in computational capacity and usage.
From Simulation to AI-Powered Engineering
Siemens is building a comprehensive engineering ecosystem in which simulation is no longer limited to analyzing a finished design. Instead, simulation is becoming an integral part of the entire product development process—helping engineers explore, predict, optimize, and make better design decisions faster.
A particularly notable technology is Simcenter PhysicsAI, which uses geometric deep learning to create predictive models from simulation data. This enables engineers to evaluate a significantly larger number of design alternatives in a much shorter time.
Siemens has reported speedups of up to 1,000× in certain workflows compared with traditional solvers, demonstrating the significant potential of AI-powered simulation to accelerate engineering processes.

Simulation Is Becoming a Core Engineering Platform
After five days of intensive training and technical discussions, one thing became particularly clear to us:
Simulation is evolving from a conventional engineering analysis tool into a strategic platform for innovation and product development.
The combination of Simulation + Test + HPC + AI + Digital Twin is creating new opportunities for companies to accelerate product development, reduce physical prototyping and testing, optimize designs, and make faster, more data-driven engineering decisions.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Siemens and the SEA Simulation Summit 2026 organizing team for an excellent and highly valuable program, providing us with new technical knowledge, practical insights, and opportunities to connect with experts and partners across the region.
These valuable experiences will enable VBTECH to continue supporting our customers in their journey toward technology innovation, design optimization, and enhanced product development capabilities through Simulation and AI.
We look forward to bringing these new technologies and engineering solutions closer to our customers and creating greater value together.
